Losing Louisa
Published in Hardcover by Farrar Straus & Giroux (March, 1999)
Author: Judith Caseley
Average review score:

Pure drivel
This book is the worst, trashiest book I have ever read. It was about topics that trashy people like to read and I wish I would have realized that sooner than when I actually started reading. Just nasty, dirty, messages which didn't lead out to one thing. Be smart, and get a different book instead. The only reason that I gave this book 2 stars was because I felt so dang sorry for it!! It's just one of those trashy teen novels people label literature. Try some REAL books instead.

An amazing book for teens AND adults
Losing Louisa is book about a 16 year old girl named Lacey who is coming to terms or has to come to terms with many things that have happened or are happening in her life. Her sister's pregnancy shatters Lacey's perception of her sister as a prim, preppy, good girl. Lacey's father, who has deserted her and her family for another woman, is living in a posh house and expecting a child with his new wife. Lacey's mother is dressing in tight clothes, going out with a body-builder named Vinnie, and acting much like a 16 year old herself. As for Lacey, she is dealing with the everyday pressures of growing up. The fact that her crush is turning out to be a jerk. Her mixed feelings about her father. The guy from the deli who has a crush on her.Lacey is dealing with a lot, but throughout this book she learns a lot too. So does the reader. In general the writting was clever and humourous,as was the story, but also serious at some moments and sad at others. This book was an incredibly good read and i would recomend it for anyone (teenaged or adult) who wants to read a great book.

A great Book for teens
Well this book is mostly for teens. It contains teen situations and curses, foul language, and teen stuff. Well, it begins with a girl named Lacey that has a crush on two boys but at the end of the book she stays with one. Her mom wears tight teenage clothes and divorces and dates. Rosie, Laceys Sister is pregnant and has to chose between adoption or abortion. Lacey's cat dies and she gets a half-sister which seems that makes her jealous. This is book has many surprises and suspenses. It deals with the teenage life and it is a very great young adult book. I recommend this book to everyone.

Shocker-Shocker-Shocker
When I read the first two stories they were really good, but when I got to Marilyn Lee's portion. Man it was way hot. I like hers because she wasn't afraid to go were ever other author has not gone with their shapeshifters. Yes she went their and man it was just as naughty as can be, but it was very well written to me and I have bought the other one that has been written on Hunters tale. My suggestion to anyone is be open about this story, its so forbidden and thats what makes it so good. I just loved it.

Jo's Boys
Published in Library Binding by Bt Bound (October, 1999)
Author: Louisa May Alcott
Average review score:

This sequel is a must-read, but not as good as Little Women
OF COURSE you will want to read Little Men, which is the sequel to Little Women. Little Men is in no way as good as Little Women, though it is a good sturdy children's classic.

In Jo's Boys, the story is finished out. The boys mature and we learn what happens to them. Some fare well, others don't prosper. This is what makes Jo's Boy's somewhat somber in nature. Alcott notes the passing of Marmee, and others depart as well. A sadder tale, and a bittersweet end to the saga of the March family. A funny tidbit is the appearance of fans to bother Mother Bhaer (Jo). Alcott afflicts her alter-ego with the same annoyances that the fans created for her after Little Women. One uninvited admirer even cadges a postage stamp from her desk. A bit of real-life levity in an otherwise subdued book.

Even if not up to Little Women's literary heights, Jo's Boys is a must-read if you want to know how it all turned out. (And who can resist that!)

The rest of the story!
This is a story of how the 'Little Men' turned out. Will Tom be able to get Nan to marry him? Or will Nan turn him down? What about Dan? Does he ever marry? And what about the 'Princess'? Will Mrs. Meg Brooke ever let Nat marry Daisy? Read the book to find out the rest of the story!

Adults...
This book is a sequel to Little Men and is about the same characters. The childish bond between both the boys and girls has been replaced with a stronger bond of affection. Little Josie has finally grown and wants to be an actor, little Ted has his friend, but will Nat truly be able to marry Daisy? The childish affection has turned into real love, but will it always remain? Will Dan get out of jail? If not, what will happen to him? All these questions will be answered. This book takes the lives of all the characters in Little Men and goes until the end of their youth. BUT BEWARE, THIS BOOK CANNOT BE READ WITHOUT FIRST READING LITTLE MEN. This will be appropriate for children, but I recommend it more around the age of 10 and 11. I myself read it when I was 8 or 9, but I understand it better when I read it now. Enjoy!! Cheers!!!!! : )

Louisa May Alcott: Her Girlhood Diary
Published in Hardcover by Turtleback Books Distributed by Demco Media (January, 1995)
Authors: Cary Ryan, Louisa May Alcott, and Mark Graham

Ok...but could have been better
While this book might do alright for a bedtime story, I found it written in a confusing way and the information was in no specific order. Contrary to what the title suggests, there were only snippets of Louisa's diaries, and those snippets were chock full of the author's puntuation and added words. The rest of the book was the author's narration of Louisa's life. I will give it credit for the nice pictures and the work that must have been put into it, but if you want to read to your young child about Louisa May Alcott's amazing life, I suggest finding another book.
